Here's how you access the calibration feature:
1. Open the H2OPal app
2. Turn the bottle upside down so you see a small lightning bolt appear in the bottle icon on the bottom of the home screen.
(if there's an issue connecting with the tracker try "killing" the app and then opening it again)
3. Open up the menu and select "H2O-Pal Tracker"
4. Tap on "Advanced Settings" -> now scroll down a bit and tap on "CALIBRATE".
Now follow the simple three step process which involves
(1) confirming the bottle volume,
(2) measuring the empty bottle and
(3) measuring the full bottle to complete the calibration.
The bottle H2OPal comes with is 18.6 fluid ounces (550 ml). If you are using a bottle with a different capacity then specify that bottle's capacity in the first step.
You may be prompted to initiate the measuring for the empty full bottle several times so that H2OPal gets a really reliable measurement. Simply lift and place the bottle back down and tap the button in the app to initiate the measurement after a few seconds.
Please make sure not to touch the bottle while it is on the table and in the process of making calibration measurements for either the empty or full bottle. This may prevent it from making a valid measurement and consequently, this might cause an issue with the calibration.
PLEASE NOTE, that H2OPal will ignore the measurements made while going through the recalibration process and after the calibration is completed the water level on the H2OPal tracker screen will most likely NOT reflect the actual volume of water currently in the bottle. The H2OPal tracker screen will become updated after the tracker makes the first measurement AFTER calibration is completed.
After calibration is complete you will likely have a full bottle of water, so just pour out about 2 oz and set it back on the table to make an initial measurement after the calibration that will also update the tracker screen.
